Individual Development
Executive Coaching
Structured time for leadership reflection. One-on-one development with defined outcomes.
When Coaching Makes Sense
Some challenges don’t fit neatly into a workshop or peer group. They require focused, confidential, one-on-one attention with someone who understands your context.
Transitioning into a new role. First-time CAO, new organization, expanded scope. The learning curve is steep and the stakes are high.
Navigating a specific situation. Council conflict, staff crisis, political dynamics. You need a thinking partner for strategic navigation.
Developing targeted capacity. Strategic communication, team development, political navigation. Building specific skills your role demands.
Creating space for reflection. The pace of leadership rarely allows for deep thinking. Coaching creates protected time for that work.
Coaching is scoped to specific outcomes. When those outcomes are achieved, the engagement is complete. The frameworks become your internal toolkit.
What You Become Capable Of
Coaching builds internal capacity.
Self-Coaching
The frameworks and questions we use together become your internal toolkit. You’ll find yourself running the same diagnostic processes independently when new challenges arise.
Pattern Recognition
Coaching surfaces patterns in your leadership that the pace and pressure of the role make difficult to see from inside it. Once visible, you can recognize and address them without external support.
Coaching Others
The coaching approach transfers. Leaders who’ve been effectively coached often become better at developing their own direct reports. The capability multiplies.
How It Works
Coaching engagements are built around specific outcomes, not open-ended relationships. We define what success looks like, then structure the engagement to achieve it. The structure adapts to your situation, but the pattern is consistent:
- Initial assessment and goal definition
- Regular coaching sessions (typically bi-weekly)
- Between-session support as needed
- Progress assessment at defined milestones
- Clear endpoint when outcomes are achieved
Start a Conversation
Coaching is scoped to what you’re working on and how long it takes to get there. Most engagements run 3-6 months. We determine scope, cadence, and investment together after understanding your situation.
You’ll know the full investment before you commit.
Other Ways to Engage
Coaching is one option. Others may fit better depending on your needs.
